Kaizer Chiefs remain in the market for Nasreddine Nabi's top target Fiston Mayele, with the Tunisian-Belgian keen to reunite with the Congolese striker.
So much has been going on behind the scenes in matters relating to Mayele possibly joining Chiefs.

Nabi wants his trusted number nine and has made it no secret to his employers, who must now find a way for Egyptian club Pyramids to agree to the transfer.
Pyramids have their valuation of the 30-year-old, who scored 17 league goals in what was only his first season playing in Egypt after moving from Young Africans.
The transfer fee is where Chiefs need to find common ground with Pyramid for the deal to go through.
Mayele has no issues with the move to link up with Nabi yet again in championing the revival of Chiefs' fortunes.
So, that space is not an issue.
Those making the efforts on behalf of Chiefs are sniffing their way towards getting Pyramids to get into bed.
The options that suit Nabi for his kind of number nine are so thin that Mayele remains the best from all the CVs that have been thrown from all over.
Although he is now 30, scoring 50 goals in all competitions in two years for Young Africans and Pyramid justifies why Nabi wants Mayele.
On Sunday, the former AS Vita striker scored another goal in the CAF Champions League, but that effort will be attributed to the 2024/25 count and not 2023/24 season.
The Egyptian season has overlapped, creating a case of playing 2024/25 fixtures on the continent the one day and then switching back to the 2023/24 domestic games like they will do when they play in the local cup on Wednesday.
The dreadlocked star has plenty goals in him that he if he continues to score at Chiefs, it will make a huge difference for the club and offload plenty of the worries that Nabi has about where goals will come from having adopted a blunt attack.

However, reality is that he will come at a cost and Chiefs will have to pay more than R9 million.
Chiefs' skills in negotiating a way that gets the deal over the line will be put to test in the month that remains before the domestic window closes on September 20.
