Speaking to the media at a handover donation by the club sponsor Vodacom in Tembisa on Thursday, Johnson said his squad looked in better shape than they were prior to the break.

"We haven't been away, we've just come back from a mini-pre-season camp," Johnson told journalists.

"In all respect to the boys or to the players, they are looking a lot better than what we left when we played our last game against Sekhukhune, when we drew 1-1.

"So we gave them a few days' break, we are back now and I think they are looking forward to the game against TS Galaxy.

"What we have been doing is training, trying to get little things sorted out and most importantly we've been enjoying the AFCON. We have to give Bafana props, they've qualified for the last 16.

"Let's keep supporting them, but Kaizer Chiefs, we are back."
