Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr has confirmed Kaizer Chiefs' pursuit of Polokwane City and Bafana Bafana winger Oswin Appollis, and with MC Alger reportedly struggling to finalise a deal, Amakhosi could have a chance to land their top target.
While Chiefs have been understood to be out of the race for Appollis' signature, with MC Alger having made several offers to Rise and Shine, fresh reports suggest there is still no agreement in place between the North Africans and the player's current club.

The impending scenario has opened another window for Amakhosi, who have long been admirers of the speedy winger and are desperate for a marquee signing after missing out on Elias Mokwana – who eventually opted for Esperance.
They also narrowly missed out on Khanyisa Mayo, who joined Algerian champions CR Belouizdad on a big-money deal.

KickOff first reported on the Naturena-based side's interest in the player as early as January.
Although no formal offer has been made, Motaung confirmed that unofficially he had held talks with City over the signing of Appollis.
"Oswin is a top talent," Motaung Jr said on MSW.
"What we can say about him is that I don't know any club in the country that would not want to sign Oswin.
"What we are trying to do as well is to not only fulfil what the supporters want, we know we need to get the best talent in order to achieve our goals.
"So, what I can say is, he is a top player and we are working tirelessly to make sure that we bring top players to the team.
"We would love to have him, we have said it before. We have had talks with the chairman of Polokwane City [Johnny Mogaladi], not only about Oswin but about other players as well and I think it's a process that is ongoing," he explained further.
