Nasreddine Nabi has taken over and with his appointment there have been seven signings made by the club giving Amakhosi hope that this will be a far much better season than what they witnessed last term.
General admission tickets are selling for between R50-R60 and according to the official tickets sales by Ticketpro, some sections of the stadium are already sold out.
The lower end of the Southern Stand, which will house Siwelele sa Marumo, is already sold out with only two blocks on the upper stand still having tickets available.
Another 10 blocks in the rest of the stadium have also already been sold out.
Though tickets are available online they are also being sold at the stadium (Gate 5).
A sold-out sign for general admission is expected before Saturday which will then leave only suite tickets available.
While the facility can take up to 46 000, a lesser number of tickets has been made available due to safety reasons.
The last time Chiefs were in Bloemfontein for the Toyota Cup match against Young Africans at the end of July, there was a full house.
After the season opener against Chiefs, Marumo will be bargaining on the people of Bloemfontein to still carry them through when they play AmaZulu on September 28 and the rest of their home matches.
