Edmilson Dove's contract at Kaizer Chiefs will run up at the end of June with a disciplinary concern that has cost him end-of-season appearances.
Dove has faced it all at Chiefs this season: injury, sitting on the bench, wearing the armband, scoring, serving four yellow cards suspension, and ultimately being red-carded twice.

The first sending off was against Moroka Swallows in March, while his most recent came against TS Galaxy.
With the second red card, it has come at a cost of missing the last three games of the season for Chiefs as per the rules of the League.
The National Soccer League Handbook stipulates under Chapter 5 (Disciplinary matters – Dismissals) of Rules that:
"53.1. A Player dismissed by the referee (i.e. "red carded" or sent off, including dismissal as a result of 2 (two) yellow cards given in the same match will, for the first occasion in a Season, be suspended from participation in the next 2 (two) matches to be played by his team in any Competition under the auspices of the League.
"53.2. For each subsequent occasion that a Player is dismissed during the same Season the period of suspension will be increased by 1 (one) match from the suspension previously served," read the rules.

Dove has already sat out games against AmaZulu FC and Polokwane City and will not be in the squad for the trip to Cape Town City.
This comes with his contract expiring at the end of June and having not been renewed up to now, giving a signal that he could be offloaded after two years at the club.
