Former Kaizer Chiefs central midfielder Humphrey Mlwane has suggested what he thinks should be a fitting punishment for the club's fans.
On Tuesday 31 October 2023, the Glamour Boys will appear before the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee, for a charge relating to the Amakhosi faithful, who threw objects at their former coach Molefi Ntseki following the club's 1-0 defeat to AmaZulu FC in the Carling Knockout.

Mlwane says playing two games without supporters is the perfect punishment for the supporters' unruly actions.
"They shouldn't be allowed to attend at least two of the club's matches, nothing beats that," Mlwane said to KickOff.
"They must just give them a lesson, if they continue with their misbehaviour, then you add up all their suspended sentences. The league should look to punish them in the games that will follow the Soweto Derby because we have already bought tickets for that one.
"Two games without watching their favourite club will surely not sit well with the majority of their supporters. Supporters shouldn't do such things just because they buy the club's merchandise and match tickets," he added.

"Two mistakes don't make it right, just because as fans they think the team is nothing without them. That is not right. Yes, the club should also be punished because they need to be able to control their supporters. Clubs should be forced to employ Public Relations Officers.
"Someone who will communicate with the fans. These days clubs are relying too much on social media. Social media has created a gap between clubs and their supporters.
"The Chiefs supporters have now lost the direction and even forgot about the love and peace slogan, something that somebody from inside the club should be constantly reminding them about," Mlwane concluded.
