‘If you employ 30, they should all be ready anytime’

Kaizer Chiefs coach Cavin Johnson has detailed his selection thoughts at the club ahead of his first cup competition match.

Johnson took over as caretaker coach at Chiefs in October straight after their elimination from the Carling KnockOut Cup in October and has since overseen eight league games with four wins, two draws, and two defeats.

Through that he has also taken a stance with Yusuf Maart, Reeve Frosler, Christian Saile Basomboli, Given Msimango, Edson Castillo, Pule Mmodi, and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo prominent in his selections.

However, the Nedbank might offer a window of hope for those that have had lesser minutes amongst them Luke Fleurs who is yet to make his debut since signing in October.

"I don't like the word rotation because you always want to see something different," says Johnson.

"I think if you employ 30 people in your team, they should all be ready to play at any time.

"That is not rotation but a matter of using the right players against the correct opposition.

"That for me is important for the players to understand otherwise we will always have an A and a B team.

"Now you ask me if this is the right time.
