Kopitovic is currently playing his football in the Singapore Premier League for Tampines Rovers.

He has smashed 35 league goals in 28 appearances playing every minute in the league for the club.

The 27-year-old has another six goals in six cup games which includes the Asian Football Confederation Cup and the Singapore Cup.

This means Kopitovic has scored 41 goals in 34 games with a further 19 assists.

Last year he scored 16 goals in 21 league games and has a total of 60 league goals in 63 appearances in the Singapore Premier League.

He previously played in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League qualifiers while still playing in Montenegro's top tier where he scored 35 goals in 136 games playing for OFK Petrovac, Kom Podgorica, and FK Mladost.

Though Kopitovic top scored in the league for Rovers this year they finished third and failed to qualify for continental football next season.

Rovers – one of the money-rich and most supported clubs in the Southeast Asian country – play in the Singapore Cup final on Saturday against Hougang United with Kopitovic set to play after being rested on Tuesday in the second leg of the semi-finals

There have been concerns over the quality of the league in Singapore his scoring numbers have given reason for him to be considered.

The only other player from Montenegro to ever play in the PSL before was Slavko Damjanovic who spent six months at BidVest Wits in 2017 playing six games before returning home.

Hungarian forward Balint Bajner – who previously been in the books of Borussia Dortmund, West Ham, and Ipswich Town – has also been linked with Chiefs who only have Burundian forward Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana as the only number nine in their ranks.

AmaKhosi have been receiving an incredible number of profiles from agents from across the world as their search for another forward continues.
