Chiefs winger tipped to make sensational return to Europe

A striking prediction has been made about Kaizer Chiefs winger Kgaogelo 'Kigi' Sekgota as he continues to build his profile in domestic football with encouraging performances.

Sekgota has now also broken into the Bafana Bafana set-up and made his debut in the 4-0 win over Sierra Leone 10 days ago.

The 25-year-old is now with his third club in the PSL since returning from Europe where he played in Portugal and Lithuania.

"I think he is destined to explode into a big player for South Africa," former Portugal youth international Zequinha tells KickOff.

Zequinha featured alongside Sekgota in Portugal at Vitoria Setubal for a year.

"He only needs to keep believing in himself and be more focused on the job at hand for him.

"This kid is very strong in one-on-one situations and can eliminate anyone on his day because he also has the pace.

"For me, I believe that he is someone who can still come back and play in Europe, but the issue is that he needs to maintain the focus on the job that he is employed to do now at his team.

"He has enough qualities to be a player who can come back and play in Portugal.

"Which team doesn't want a player as quick as him?

"He came to Europe when he was young and so maybe if he is to return now, he will be mature and able to handle the demands of being here.

"I think he is going to be more prepared now since he is already playing for the biggest club in South Africa and understands the pressure.

"I spoke to him a few weeks ago and reminded him about the need to focus on the job," says Zequinha.
