'It's a hard one to take' - Dolly on Chiefs' Carling Knockout exit

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Keagan Dolly says their elimination in the Carling Knockout is hard to take because they believed they stood a chance of winning it.

Amakhosi were knocked out in the first round of the tournament after a late 1-0 defeat to AmaZulu, who scored through Taariq Fielies.

Dolly, who made his first start of the season, was rewarded with a Man of the Match prize of R100, 000 voted by fans.

"First of all, thanks to everyone who supported, voted for me. Very disappointing, we wanted to win this game, I think we were a bit hasty in moments we needed to stay calm, we got half chances but we needed to stay calm," Dolly told SuperSport TV.

"We were hasty, we really wanted to win, we wanted to make the people proud. This is one cup we felt like we stood a chance but I think it's a hard one to take tonight," he said.

The Bafana Bafana attacker went on and said they feel the pressure from fans and they are doing their best but things are not going their way.

"Obviously as players we feel it, people come out each and every week to support us, some people travel from far and we feel for them. There's no player that wants to come out on the field and not deliver," he said.

"We are really trying our best and we plead to the Khosi nation to keep on supporting us and hopefully we can keep on working hard and things will change.

"You can see in games sometimes we feel the pressure, we really wanna do well for ourselves, for the club and for our supporters but sometimes we just put a lot of pressure on ourselves, in moments we need to stay calm, we were a bit hasty and things don't go our way," he added.
