What Itumeleng Khune already knew, in that he will not play for Kaizer Chiefs again, has now had yet another reminder following the latest developments at the club.
Khune's contract expired on June 30 and as per Chiefs' announcement last year, he will not be offered another playing deal.

This means his playing journey at Chiefs, which began with a debut against Jomo Cosmos in 2007, is over with his last run having come on the day he was honoured in the match against Polokwane City in May.
The veteran goalkeeper has insisted his desire to keep on playing, which leaves him and Chiefs at a crossroads.
The latest developments that have seen the Soweto giants bring in Rwandan goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari reaffirm the club's position on Khune.
Ntwari has signed on a three-year deal after having only joined TS Galaxy at the beginning of last season.
He will become the fourth keeper at Naturena after Brandon Petersen, Bruce Bvuma and Karabo Molefe.
In what could provide an opportunity for Khune to keep on playing, he might end up finding his way to Galaxy, who are now thin in the goalkeeping department.
Ntwari's departure comes after Bosnia and Herzegovina keeper Vasilije Kolak also left, leaving their goalkeeping department in need of refreshing.
With Galaxy training in Johannesburg and only travelling to Mpumalanga for home games, this will work perfect for Khune, who will be keen to stay close to his family.

Minus issues related to his package, the Ventersdorp-born man ill welcome minutes if he is to continue playing considering that he has only played 20 games in the last three years.
Considering that they are a growing brand, Galaxy will benefit from having a player with Khune's profile.
