The line of negotiations between Muhammad Nasreddine Nabi's talks with Kaizer Chiefs with regards to taking over as head coach at the club remains work in progress.
Nabi has been in talks with Chiefs for weeks now and several details have now emerged.

The most interesting detail is on the fact that Nabi has already agreed on the financial conditions of his deal prior to engagements being made with the technical team that he wants to work with.
The 57-year-old prefers his support staff to conditioning coach Helmy Gueldich, analyst Khalil Ben Youssef and the technical expertise of Cedric Kaze plus another staffer.
While his package has been ironed out, there hasn't been any engagements with the rest of the crew that he insists he needs to work with, giving AmaKhosi the belief that they are not a priority which has now created the current situation.
This is where matters could get complicated.
It is through these days that Gueldich has already been linked with Orlando Pirates while Kaze's move to South Africa will not be in the direction of Naturena but another club that he is in engagements with over becoming the head coach instead of assistant like he would have been at Chiefs.
Another sticky point is that Chiefs insist on keeping their strength and conditioning coach Bhekumuzi Maluleke as the head of that department even if Gueldich comes in.
Though Nabi normally works with his son as his representative, he has engaged the services of Herve Tra Bi – who is based in South Africa – to get this deal over the line.

Nabi has done extensive research on the Chiefs job and feels he will need to work with trusted support staff instead of inheriting a backup team that will have Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard as assistants.
The situation around the coach has created tension at Naturena with Mulomowandau Mathoho and Phathutshedzo Nange the only confirmed departures to date.
It is a known fact that Zwane prefers to work with certain players while it is unknown what call Nabi will make if he does eventually get the job.
Through the negotiations, Chiefs have already booked Nabi's ticket to fly from Dar es Salaam to Johannesburg, but he chose to head home to Tunisia.
Nabi is a UEFA Pro Licence holder and is said to want to be certain about the coaching conditions.
