Entering into the final year of his current deal with Amakhosi, for striker Ranga Chivaviro, the 2024/25 season could be a make-or-break one.
Chivaviro arrived at Kaizer Chiefs Village on a two-year deal with Amakhosi holding the option to extend by one year should they be happy with the 31-year-old's output.
The move came on the back of a sensational season for Chivaviro, who netted 17 times across all competitions, including an impressive seven goals in the CAF Confederations Cup, where he spearheaded Marumo Gallants to a semi-final finish.

His first season at Chiefs, however, was one to forget. The Limpopo-born striker netted just four times – 13 less than his previous season - in a disastrous campaign that saw Amakhosi end finish 10 on the league table.
He featured 23 times but struggled to find consistent game time as he only enjoyed four consecutive starts during the season.
The new season brought along wholesale changes at Chiefs including the arrival of new head coach Nasreddine Nabi, an all-new technical team and perhaps for Chivaviro a renewed hope for a lifeline in what could be his final season.
What further complicate matters is that Amakhosi are still actively searching for a striker. KickOff reported that Chiefs held initial talks with Bafana international Luther Sigh.
They also spoke to Lebo Mothiba The latest reports suggest Amakhosi have their eye on the Pyramids striker Fiston Mayele.

Nevertheless, the former Gallants striker has started pre-season brightly, netting four goals in a 5-2 pre-season friendly win against Al Shahaniya.
That effort earned him a start in the Toyota Cup against Young Africans, although Chiefs would go on to suffer a 4-0 thrashing.
It remains to be seen how Chiefs fare on their search for a striker and what the outcome of that quest could mean for Chivaviro, who will be looking to make the most of what could be his last chance at Chiefs.
