Nabi praises Chiefs 'high level conditioning coach'

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi attributed their win over Stellenbosch to a crucial member of his technical team.

Chiefs got back to winning ways after a narrow 1-0 win over Stellies thanks to an early goal by new signing Makabi Lilepo.

Nabi credited their win to strength and conditioning coach Safi Majdi, after they played their third game in seven days.

"Honestly its a very good performance, thank you to all the players and in particular my conditioning coach Mr (Safi) Majdi you know this is game number three in seven days and you look at the physical conditioning of my players it's incredible," Nabi said on SuperSport.

"Majdi is a high level conditioning coach, congratulations to him and all the players, because they promised me before the game that they will give me 200 percent for three points, for myself and for the supporters, I'm very happy about that.

"It's true that we didn't concede a lot of opportunities but credit goes to every player who was in the field, from the front line to the back, everyone worked very hard, closed the spaces, tracked back, which made the work obitf defenders a little bit easier."

The Tunisian coach also revealed that their game plan included neutralizing Devin Titus.

"The strength of Stellenbosch is how they move between the lines and the smartness in the final third, we wanted to control that and as well as the speed of Titus. To not give him space to run, block the players from giving him balls," Nabi said.

"I also want to notify that the process continues, we're in the right way even if some people don't really understand," the Tunisian coach concluded.
