Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi had a message to his youngsters after a 1-0 defeat to SuperSport United on Saturday evening.

"First of all congratulations to the opponent for the three points and the other thing is sometimes football is simple, in order to win a game you need to score. We had five, six opportunities to score, the opponent only had one and they scored but us we didn't score the five we had," Nabi said on SuperSport TV.

"It's very difficult to swallow the result today but that's how football is, we need to go back and understand that if we wanna win, we need to score more than our opponents."

With Amakhosi trailing, Sirino was substituted just before the hour-mark, with Mfundo Vilakazi coming on in his place.

Nabi also made a tactical change, bringing on Njabulo Blom in place of Bradley Cross.

"We believe the changes that we made had a positive impact. Unfortunately for Castillo, it was an injury. But Sirino was injured during the week, he didn't train, he trained in the last session," The Tunisian explained.

"But we wanted to start him and see what he can give us but we knew that he wasn't 100 percent fit but the changes we made with [Mfundo] Vila, Blom, Ashley [Du Preez] we believe they had a positive impact in terms of controlling the game going forward and to make the team more dynamic."

The former AS FAR mentor went on and cautioned that the loss against Matsatsantsa is a lesson to his young players.

"It's a message for our younger players, these kinds of results, even though it's a negative, they need to learn from it. It doesn't have to put them down or make them not believe in themselves," Nabi said.

"But they need to learn from that, work harder to avoid those kinds of situations to happen in the future," the Tunisian added.
