Ndlondlo: Gallants didn't fear Kaizer Chiefs

Man of the Match Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo has revealed that Marumo Gallants did not fear Kaizer Chiefs during their DStv Premiership clash over the weekend.

Ndlondlo earned his second Man of the Match award of the season on Sunday after setting teammate Mahlatse Makudubela up to open the scoring in Marumo Gallants' 1-1 draw against Kaizer Chiefs.

That goal looked to have earned 10-man Gallants all three points on the day only for Zitha Kwinika to score a late equaliser which earned the Amakhosi a share of the spoils away from home.

Nonetheless, the result saw Bahlabane Ba Ntwa climb from the foot of the DStv Premiership table and Ndlondlo was pleased with how he and his teammates delivered a fearless performance against their more fancied opponents.

"We didn't have that fear, because we were playing against the biggest team in the country. That fear from the guys wasn't there, so we needed to push each so that we can be able to play the game, not the occasion," he said in his post-match interview with SuperSport TV.

"That's what we did and we gave it our all. It was unfortunate for us not to get the three points, but unlucky, we'll take the point and move forward again."

Gallants will be in action again this weekend when they take on fellow strugglers Chippa United in Gqeberha while Chiefs' next fixture will see them welcome SuperSport United to the FNB Stadium.
