With Kaizer Chiefs yearning for revival in the new season, they will also have new leadership on the pitch.
The imminent departure of Itumeleng Khune and Keagan Dolly has left the door open for a fresh face to wear the armband for the 2024/25 season.

Khune and Dolly started the past season as captain and deputy respectively but were able to wear the armband in only six games between them.
This was rather disappointing for the two.
Khune led in five matches, while Dolly came out with the armband once as he went through a season of struggles.
This then meant Brandon Petersen led the team for 10 games before messing up.
Yusuf Maart has stood up as captain in 10 matches, Edmilson Dove got a chance in two games, and Thatayaone Ditlhokwe was the skipper in one.
Given Msimango raised his hand highest in leading the team in six games last season in what was only his first campaign at the club.
Out of the seven that led Chiefs last term, Msimango has positioned himself perfectly to be handed the armband next season.

The hope will then be that the 27-year-old wears the armband for the rest of his time at Chiefs, where the captains have been reliable regulars in the past.
Msimango was amongst a few who stood up throughout the past season as Amakhosi went through a series of awful displays.
Chiefs will have a new coach, who is expected to be Nasreddine Nabi.
