Nhlapo urges Chiefs fans to throw support behind Ntseki

Kaizer Chiefs legend Zebulon Nhlapo has called for the club's supporters to back newly-appointed head coach Molefi Ntseki alongside Arthur Zwane.

Nhlapo insists that things will not change overnight under the club's revamped technical team in the aim to clinch silverware.

"I was not happy when they demoted Arthur, but there is nothing we can do, bosses are bosses, maybe they noticed something, but at least he was kept as an assistant coach," Nhlapo tells KickOff.

"Let's give someone else a chance. Maybe luck can be on his side. Let's not judge a person.

"The Orlando Pirates coach was called all sorts of names like a plumber when he got here.

"He won them a double last season. Maybe Ntseki will do the same for us, let's give him all the support.

"The club wouldn't have made him a head coach if he was not good. Maybe now that there will be three minds on the bench things will change.

"And they've made better signings this time around also, but they should have kept Njabulo Blom, look how well he is doing in America.

"But Chiefs will be okay, Rome was not built in one day.

"Yes the quality that the club is signing these days it's no longer the same, to be honest, and the pressure of not having won a trophy in years is making it worse.

"But that doesn't mean we should not encourage the current squad because we were also not perfect."
