Ngcobo delighted with personal progress while aiming for trophies at Kaizer Chiefs

Rising midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo has expressed satisfaction with his personal progress in the Kaizer Chiefs first team though conceding to one element that has been a challenge for him.

Ngcobo continues to show all the promises but is yet to establish himself as a regular first team starter just a week before he turns 23.

This season he has put in a single full shift from his 12 appearances to date and is without an assist or goal.

"I'm very happy because I see improvement but what is important now is to start winning trophies and do something for the team," he points out while admitting to matters relating to consistency.

"It is a challenge for us as soccer players because we go through a lot of sometimes.

"But to come every day and make sure that you give your 'A' game is important and we try very hard to be consistent in every game and every training, so I think we have been doing that very well this season.

"I need to keep working hard and I will make it," says Ngcobo who is all smiles about playing under Arthur Zwane this season.

Ngcobo has already been mentored by Stuart Baxter, Gavin Hunt, and Ernst Middendorp since making his senior debut in 2019.

"I think as someone that I have worked with even in the development I would say we have a good relationship.

"Playing under him is good and fun.

"He wants the best out of us and wants us to improve every training session, so it is good because I'm also improving as a player.

"It is good," says Ngcobo.
