Kaizer Chiefs have completed most of their transfer business in this window with seven new signings after six departures but there are plenty others desperately in need of saving their time at the club.
Besides the loan returnees and development graduates, Chiefs have brought in Pule Mmodi,Tebogo Potsane, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Given Msimango, Ranga Chivaviro, Edson Castillo, and Mduduzi Mdantsane.

There could still be another addition with the club still in the market.
The exit door was headlined by Khama Billiat who was joined by Mulomowandau Mathoho, Phathutshedzo Nange, Austin Thabani Dube, Cole Alexander, and Siyabonga Ngezana who was sold to Romanian club FCSB.
As the start of the 2023/24 season gets to fall within days several players at Chiefs will have to be walking on the edge and in desperate need of making it count to avoid falling on the chopping board come end of the season.
While Itumeleng Khune is sitting on his last playing contract at the club having already earned legendary status, Bruce Bvuma will have questions to ask himself about if he wants to spend all his career as a backup keeper.

Njabulo Ngcobo needs to better his input having now moved into the last year of his contract.
Sifiso Hlanti will be 34 at the end of the forthcoming season and needs a solid campaign to avoid the trap of his age being raised.
For Happy Mashiane, the truth is that he needs to play games from start to finish instead of being a mere part player as evidenced by that none of his 21 appearances in the last two years have been full shifts.
Kamohelo Mahlatsi is yet to justify why he was brought to Chiefs from Moroka Swallows having played just seven games last season and just like Mashiane needs to learn how to play games from start to finish.
Another signing who came in from Swallows at the beginning of the 2022/23 season and is yet to stamp his authority is Lehlogonolo George Matlou.
At Chiefs, the microscope is always switched on and what he offered last season wasn't enough especially in the second half of the season when his seven appearances totalled less than 30 minutes.

Kgaogelo Sekgota has completed his first two years at Kaizer Chiefs with nothing but questions about critical elements in his game which has left him facing the risk of being loaned out.
Despite being exciting and speedy, Sekgota has little to nothing to show for his contribution on the pitch at Chiefs.
In 48 appearances at Chiefs, Sekgota is yet to score and only has two assists playing in attacking spaces on the flank.
Last season, he had no goals and provided two assists in 29 appearances and all but one of his last 15 appearances last term were from the bench.

Being a foreign player, Christian Saile Basomboli will feel the weight of expectations and criticism and so needs goals to silence his critics.
Then there is Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana – who is already unwanted at Chiefs with a year remaining on his contract.
Bimenyimana scored goals for Chiefs last season but is evidently not the kind of forward that the club wants which is why Ranga Chivaviro was signed.
