After Kaizer Chiefs only reached 30 points with six games to go, statistics are painting a gloomy sprint to the finishing line for the men clad in Gold and Black.
Chiefs' winless run extended to four matches after a 1-1 stalemate against TS Galaxy on Saturday, as they only reached 30 points after 24 games and remained eighth on the log.

In reality, Nasreddine Nabi's charges are holding on to a Top Eight spot by a thread and could drop out of the top half of the table as they have played at least two games more than the likes of Chippa United and Golden Arrows, who are behind them by one and two points respectively.
Amakhosi are collecting on average 1,25 points per game, which means, should that form - or lack thereof - continue, they could end the season on +-38 points.
Less than 40 points may not be enough for them to finish in the Top Eight.
"Eish, there's a lot of work that still needs to be done at Chiefs because we've seen coach Nabi and his technical team have been trying different formations, different personnel," Jabu Mahlangu said of the situation on SABC Sport's Soccer Zone.
"But it seems like at the moment they don't understand him well. I don't know if his interpreter is interpreting correctly, it's tough because he is unable to send the message the way he wants to.
"Maybe the language is one of the reasons they are struggling, but to see Chiefs happy that at least we are safe (from relegation) with 30 points, it tells you a lot. There is a lot of work (that still needs to be done) at Naturena," he added.

The Naturena-based side finished in 10th place with 36 points last term, their worst position on the log at the end of a season in the PSL era... and could be headed that direction at this rate.
