Kaizer Chiefs potentially face one more headache as rivals Mamelodi Sundowns have now also been linked with the signature of an East African-based star targeted by the Soweto giants.
Amakhosi have long been reported to be eyeing the services of Tanzanian star Feisal Salum.
Head coach Nasreddine Nabi is understood to be a long-time admirer of the silky midfielder, with the pair having already worked together at Young Africans, where Nabi won a double treble.

Salum has since joined Azam, and although the Tanzanian side is open to his sale, Chiefs now have one more headache to contend with.
According to insiders, Sundowns, who have proven in recent seasons that they are willing to pay a hefty fee for their target, have joined the race.
The Naturena-based side are unlikely to outbid the defending champions in a financial tussle for the midfielder's signature but could still have the advantage due to Salum's link with Nabi.
Furthermore, the matter of preference may be enough to tilt the tide in the Glamour Boys' favour.

Such was the case with the likes of Given Msimango and Pule Mmodi, who, despite receiving interest from rivals Orlando Pirates, both opted for a switch to the Gold and Black side of Soweto.
Salum is currently contracted to the Dar es Salaam-based outfit until June 2026 and Azam will run the risk of losing him on a free in just over eight months should they opt against selling in the coming window.
