Supporters Forum - Kabelo Moumakwe

In this edition of Supporters Forum, KickOff speaks to Amakhosi fanatic Kabelo Moumakwe about his long-standing affair with Kaizer Chiefs.

Name of supporter…

"Kabelo Moumakwe, I was born in a village here in Pretoria called Hebron."

Club supported…

"I grew up supporting Chiefs, even though my father was an Orlando Pirates follower. My brother used to take me to Stadiums, we used to travel in a taxi.

"Before Covid, I used to attend 99% of Kaizer Chief matches."

How long supported…

"Since I was born. I've never been part of a Supporters Branch, the problem with the branches is, we would discuss attending a match in Durban, but three days prior to departure people start telling you stories about their financial problems, hence I decided to travel to games alone."

Are you happy with the bosses?

"Bobby and Mr Kaizer [Motaung] they are our bosses we need to respect their decisions.

"My job as a supporter is to support the structure."

Are you happy with the coach?

"I'm very happy. Any day any time I will support Zwane. He is the best and he is the local coach, we are in position 4, we've got 44 points, only six points behind number 2 which means we are doing well.

"We won league titles with Stuart Baxter because that time we would score one goal and defend, win 2-1 and defend, but now we are playing good football.

"Yes, we are not winning, but that's not because of Zwane, he was not there in the past 6 years but still we failed to win.

"We are not winning matches because our players are not passing the ball to each other enough they are seeking individual glory, small mistakes. These boys must do their jobs, their jobs is to play. And the defence also must do their job."

Are you happy with players?

"I'm happy with the players. There are players that are not being used and we don't know why, the only explanation given is that they are injured. Njabulo Blom is gone, we wanted him to stay, we don't know why he left.

"Mduduzi Shabalala is playing well, Khama Billiat is training we don't know what is happening with him, others are saying he is not injured.

"But as for the players they are playing very well, they are penetrating the opposition which is the reason why we are getting more penalties than any other team."

Who do you want them to sign?

"We need one strong striker, If it was up to me I would say they must bring Samir Nurkovic back."

Your message to the team…

"They must keep making us proud, we are behind them, we love them, we support them.

"If they can beat Orlando Pirates this coming Saturday, I'm telling you now they are going to win the Nedbank Cup final.

"We don't care about the CAF, it's gone it's gone there's nothing that could be done. We've put it behind our back, we must now focus on the Nedbank Cup."
