In this edition of Supporters Forum, KickOff speaks to Kaizer Chiefs fan "Papa Wawa" about a long-standing affair with Amakhosi.
Name of supporter?
"My real name is Vennetious Motswi. I was born in Limpopo, outside Tzaneen, I'm a Maths teacher by profession.
"I'm popularly known as Papa Wawa. Papa means Dad, and Wawa is a short version of my first-born daughter's name Warona. That's where the name "Papa Wawa" comes from."

Club supported?
"I have never supported any other club besides Chiefs."
How long supported?
"As much as I can remember I've been a Khos1i fan. So, it's been over 23 years."
Are you happy with the bosses?
"I am not happy with the state of Kaizer Chiefs as it is now. For the biggest team in the continent to go nine seasons without winning a trophy it's not something we can be proud of as supporters.
"As much as they are putting all the efforts into marketing the club, they should be doing the same in building a strong team."
Are you happy with the coach?
"It's not like we don't support black coaches, we just don't support black mediocre. I'm not saying coach Arthur Zwane or any coach in the PSL is mediocre, but if the shoe fits, they can wear them.
"I support coach Molefi Ntseki and I'm giving him a fair chance, but we don't have time for patience because we are in a nine-year trophy drought. There is no time for building, he must make sure he gives us a trophy this season."

Are you happy with the players?
"Happy but I feel we can do better in the transfer market. We can't keep signing out of contract rejects from other teams. If the club is struggling to sign players, they must just open an account where supporters can put in some money so we can buy quality players. I believe we should have done better in this transfer window."

Who do you want them to sign?
"We understand they are still building, but we have run out of patience, the likes of Thulani Serero are available out there. Those are the type of players we expect the club to sign. The club must just break the bank and get Khanyisa Mayo for us. Those are the players we expect the club to sign."
Your message to the team?
"Go and fight for the supporters. We spend our hard-earned money going to stadiums, so please bring back the glory days."
