A former Kaizer Chiefs defender Rodney "Danger" Thobejane believes the club has enough ammunition in their squad to win a trophy this season.
New head coach Molefi Ntseki will be under pressure to end Chiefs' almost 8-year trophy after receiving seven new players ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Danger is pleased with the signings Amakhosi have made and feels they're more than ready for the start of the season, with the Soweto giants taking on Chippa United in their first league game on Sunday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Thobejane: Chiefs will win silverware this season" story:
"The first games for most teams will have no goals. I expect that from most teams. This is because of the new players, coaches and state of fitness of players at the start.
"But I hope it works out differently and we see a lot of goals! All the best to Chiefs. It is important to start well but improving as the season progresses is critical to team success," says Khothakhosi.
"With Ngezana going, Mathoho should have stayed," says Legend CRM083.
"Silverware for KC!! You must be JOKING!! After 2030, that JOKE can be true but for now, let the comedy start," says lessporalibitso.
"We seen that movie before," says kaujoe.
"I thought it was the 'other' Thobejane," says Danito 4 Life.
"Unfortunately, titles aren't won by sentiments. Does Chiefs have the quality to go all the way? it's a daunting task for Ntseki and company," says makhause(2).
"Please try another joke," says Saavedra.
"Thobejane applying pressure already. Very sneaky if you ask me. He probably knows something we don't," says Dukwase.
"Maybe this one wants to be considered for a coaching position once Chiefs get rid of Ntseki," says winterv.me.
