Ellis travels in R660k style!

Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis will be travelling in distinct style with her new R660k set of wheels.

The 61-year-old and her group of players were beaten by Jamaica in international women's friendlies earlier this month, but Ellis will be attacking the next challenge in luxury.

The coach revealed in a social media post that she will be driving the stylish Volkswagen Tiguan, an SUV that boasts many impressive features including Cruise control system, park assists and many more things that make a driver's life easier.

The Tiguan has also been described as a family car for all life's journeys. All those benefits do not come cheap though, with Cars.co.za pricing a used version of the car at around R669 900.

Ellis seemed very please when thanking Volkswagen for the car.

"Thank you @volkswagensouthafrica for making sure I travel in style," she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post.

Last month, Ellis joined the esteemed list of names including former Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba, Neil Tovey and Lucas Radebe, as well as the iconic Patrick 'Ace' Ntsoelengoe, Jomo Sono and Nelson 'Teenage' Dladla, who were all inducted into the South African Hall of Fame.

The South African Hall of Fame described Ellis and her fellow inductees as "legends who have shaped the history of South African football and will be celebrated in a grand ceremony that recognises their unparalleled contributions both on and off the field."
