During his time at the side, the 35-year-old played alongside some big names including Oupa Manyisa, Andile Jali, Happy Jele and others in what he described as one of the country's all-time greatest squads to have ever been put together.
The former Ajax Cape Town star took some time to reflect on his short stint at the Sea Robbers.
While doing so, Doutie highlighted someone he described as the best player that the Rainbow Nation has ever produced: Benni McCarthy.
"Young as I was, not anyone can say they graced the pitch with one of South Africa's greatest squads assembled of all time and the greatest striker/player in South African history the goat BM17," he wrote in a post on Instagram.

More recently, the former striker was a part of the coaching staff at Old Trafford, playing a behind-the-scenes role that saw Manchester United win two domestic cup trophies in two years.
