Ex-Pirates star 'beefs up' his chase for new club

After parting ways with Orlando Pirates in June, goalkeeper Richard Ofori now appears to be undergoing rigorous training as he awaits his next move. Here's a look!

The story

After four years on the books of Pirates, the Ghana international was released from the club two months ago alongside Siyabonga Mpontshane, Kermit Erasmus, and Thabang Monare.

Although, he's has to due game-time with other keepers during his time at the club, the former Martitzburg United shot-stopper boast a formidable record of 29 clean sheets in 58 matches, according to the Bucs' official website.

After falling behind Sipho Chaine and Melusi Buthelezi under Jose Reveiro, Ofori left the club having won three MTN8 titles, including back-to-back titles in the previous two installments.

It's unclear what's next for the Blacks Stars goalkeeper as he remains a free agent but what does seem obvious is the fact the he preparing for the next chapter in his career.

By the looks of things, Ofori seems to have gained a bit of muscle after he was spotted with Siya Molefe, a famous South African fitness coach with more the 230 thousand followers on Instagram.

Ghana are expected to announce their squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger and it remains to be seen whether Ofori will be re-called in the squad after he starred for their at the 2023 AFCON earlier this year.
