It now appears that Kaizer Chief's senior Sports Scientist and Strength and Conditioning coach Muzi Maluleke has finished in one of the top spots at a recent bodybuilding championship in India. Here's a look!
The story
According to the IFBB Professional League, Maluleke competed in the Men's 212 Bodybuilding category in June, where he placed third among six other competitors.
It is unclear whether his accomplishment translates to a bronze medal finish but the South African will also take solace in the fact that he was the only representative of Mzansi in the competition and just one of two Africans who took part.

Bodybuilding, however, isn't Maluleke's only profession as he holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Pretoria. In 2022, he was appointed as the Amakhosi' senior Sports Scientist and Strength and Conditioning coach, leaving his previous job at TUKS.
Chiefs' sporting director Kazier Motaung Junior said of Maluluke's appointment at the time: "We are delighted to have Muzi come on board our new High Performance department.
"We searched far and wide for individuals who could come in and fit into the vision of the Club moving forward.
"For us, the High Performance division is an important component in laying the foundation for the Kaizer Chiefs game model of the future. It is an area where we will continue to grow with strategic appointments. We will be looking to build a solid link between the first team and Youth Academy structures to ensure we create strong physical pathways for our athletes."
With the Soweto giants having superbly floundered last season, it's unclear what to make of the work Maluleke has done at the club since his arrival. Part of his job in Naturena is too improve players' athletic performance and help prevent injuries.
Another element to his job is create program that helps the team with mobility, strength, stability, power, agility, endurance, and even speed.
Last season's manager Arthur Zwane, however, did praised the fitness guru for the work he did during his first term at Naturena.
"[We have a fitter team] by far. It's just that this is not the right platform for me to release the stats. I'll give you one example, this season, Khama Billiat in 40 minutes, covered the distance that used to in 90 minutes," said Zwane, according to SNL24.
"So, it tells you what has been the problem in the past and what we had to work on and obviously improve the team and find our way in terms of the identity as well. Unfortunately, we are dealing with players who come from different mindsets, backgrounds, environments, so when it comes to chemistry, it's going to take a while."
