Newly signed Chiefs defender Given Msimango has urged the club's supporters to be patient with the team as they aim to end a eight-year trophy drought in the 2023/24 season.
Speaking on Chiefs' pre-season 'inside look' video shared on the club's YouTube, the 26-year-old says the team is working hard at the camp to bring back the glory days and promises the fans some "wonderful moments" ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Msimango was one of Amakhosi's six new signings last month and will look to strike a good partnership with fellow newbie Thatayaone Ditlhokwe in the heart of Molefi Ntseki's defence.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Msimango - 'We are working hard to bring back the glory days'" story:
"The glory days statement is fed to them. It's not coming from their super conscious mind, that's why they will never succeed with that," says zambroty.
"The boy is just an ordinary player, nothing special," says msiphos.
"Given will realise his dream of playing abroad in a year from today... Chiefs still continue to groom talent for abroad," says Danito 4 Life," says Danito 4 Life.
"You are grooming a 26-year-old from TS Galaxy. What happened to Duba, Dube, Mathoho, Caleb and Saile Basomboli?" replies sizwe to the comment above.
"The Khosi Naton hears you boy, all the best Given, remember you are now playing for a massive brand, KHOSI 4 LIFE!!" says user827808.
"Msimango will be our next export to Europe or US," reiterates Danito 4 Life.
"Kwinika said the same thing last year. The rest is history. Better keep quiet," says Saavedra.
"I like the continue to be patient part more, Rome was not built in one day," says Zam d king buccaneer.

Chiefs legend Fetsi "Chippa" Molatedi reckons he would sign Maritzburg United midfielder Rowan Human for Amakhosi.
Human has emerged as one of the most sought-after local players after an impressive display for Bafana Bafana at the COSAFA Cup in Durban, where they finished in third place.
Molatedi not only feels that Human would be a good addition for Chiefs, but also backs him to fulfill his potential and values the fact that he has plenty of experience in SA's topflight for his age.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Chiefs urged to snap up Bafana star" story:
"Human is good player but his statistics of 4 goals in 31 games are very low. Mdantsane is already here with better goal contribution. Chiefs need another striker to give Ranga competition," says pholatsi.
"Tell me if a player is a free agent and if not, don't mention Chiefs' name. All their new players this year are free agents. They are stuck in the 70s 80s," says ngwanamoshate.70.
"There's a difference between all and most Mr Moshate. Mdantsane, Chivaviro and Msimango were bought. Sometimes it's better for one to do a bit of research than to just blog aimlessly. For the umpteenth time, we Amakhosi fans have made peace with the fact that we cannot match Downs rand for rand for obvious reasons.
"Why is it so hard for you guys to accept this? Is there something you guys are not telling us? Like Downs by day and Chiefs by night? We would rather be trophy less than to spend R20 to R50 million on one player. Our core business is soccer not mining activities," replies gsithole to the comment above.
"Urged? this team's scouting department it's either poor or non-existent. A team with a proper functioning scouting department knows what their club needs, period! Not this joke!
"At Sundowns, we wanted Mendieta, Maseko, Costa, Serero, Nasir etc. It's NOT about being urged. It's what's in the plan, if it fits our plan we don't wait for free agents," says His Majesty Yellow PSL Beast.
Obviously this article flew past your kaalkop bro. 1. Molatedi is not by any means a Chiefs staff member, he is speaking in his capacity as a soccer lover,2. Chiefs does not owe you any explanation as to which player they want,3. You are not recognised by Chiefs as a club, and your opinion or Fetsi's do not count.4. Yeka ukuphapha," replies Danito 4 Life.
"Fetsi is awakening Chiefs because they are fast asleep. They are busy monitoring. Even a blind man can see that they're constantly asleep at Chiefs," says sizwe.
