Chiefs hero Saile winning on the pitch and off

Kaizer Chiefs forward Christian Saile was the hero against Moroka Swallows as he netted the winner, but off the field his magnificent shoe collection is a winner as well.

The Congolese striker netted the all-important deciding goal to help Amakhosi gain three points and subsequently move up to sixth place on the DSTV Premiership table.

With a collection that boasts a variety of top-class sneakers, Saile gets points for accumulating a cluster of shoes that even the most dedicated sneakerheads would very envious of.

His catalogue is one that contains mostly Nike shoes, based on the ones he chooses to model in his various social media pictures. And if one does decide on a brand to spearhead a collection, that's not at all the worst option that can be chosen because over the years the company has produced shoes that have evolved to become iconic urban fashion statements.

For example, the Air Jordan 1 is one of the most instantly recognisable sneakers in the entire world, with the shoe being ranked 10th on Eiken Shop's list of top 10 best Nike shoes of all time because of it being "the shoe that started it all".

Saile seems to be a big fan of the version of this footwear as it has become a prominent feature of his Instagram page. His Air Jordan 1 Mid SE that has a gold and green colour with a pink stripe, according to Nike's official website, costs around R2 800.

He also has a Air Max 270 React "Bauhaus" sneaker which according to farfetch.com costs around R4 460. So, while his collection is not one that raises eyebrows like others that consist of shoes that cost hundreds of thousands or Rands, it is still very stylish, and quite practical.
