Inside Mayo's dream 48hrs: Debut goal & dance moves galore!

Following a blockbuster move to CR Belouizdad this weekend, South African star Khanyisa Mayo has enjoyed a dream first 48 hours with his new club. Here's a look!

The story

According to Transfermarkt, the Algerian giants splashed €1.5 million (R30 million) to lure centre-forward away from Cape Town City, tying the player to a three-year contract.

The move was impressive to say the least, as Mayo now joins a growing contingent of South Africans who ply their trade in north Africa.

These include the Egypt-based pair of Fagrie Lakay (Pyramids FC) and Percy Tau (Al Ahly), as well as Elias Mokwana, who recently joined Tunisian juggernauts Esperance de Tunis.

Mayo wasted no time making his presence felt both on and off the pitch, as he not only got on the scoresheet on debut in a friendly but he also showcased his Mzansi dance moves to his vividly impressed new teammates.

A group of Belouizdad players can be seen filming and hyping the Bafana Bafana star, while holding a Bluetooth speaker to play the music. Mayo also seems to be giving his new colleagues a taste of South African music, as Kabza De Small's hit track Imithandazo can be heard playing in the background.

Admittedly, the 25-year-old has never been one who lacks passion, as he often sparked into wild celebrations whenever he got on the scoresheet in the PSL.

More importantly, though, Mayo found the back on the net on debut during a pre-season friendly clash against Al Ahly of Libya on Sunday. Belouizdad claimed a comfortable 4-2 win, marking a perfect 48 hours for the new signing.
