Banyana Banyana made history when they beat Italy 3-2 in Wellington to progress to the round of 16 at the Women's World Cup.
Desiree Ellis' troops needed to win their first-ever World Cup game and they did so courtesy of goals from stars Thembi Kgatlana, Hildah Magaia and a bizarre first-half own goal from Benedetta Orsi.
Banyana will join Nigeria's Super Falcons as Africa's representatives when they face the Netherlands in the knockout stages at the Sydney Football Stadium in Australia this Sunday.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Banyana clinch historic World Cup last 16 spot" story:
"Incredible performance from Banyana. Now they can show Bafana Bafana how it's done," says Madiya-Ngalonde.
"Noko Matlou gave us the steel at the back, and we looked very much in control, big ups to her. At 37, such performance is heroic," says Danito 4 Life.
"Congratulations girls. Danny Jordaan, stop being a hooligan and pay back the money," says Zambroty.
"How much are they bringing to SAFA? Ya'll just love shooting off the cuff, neh. The girls are actually getting paid way more compared to how much they bring in. The percentage they get is actually higher than their male counterparts, problem is their revenue is small, with good reason anyways.
"Their support base is small and their sponsors are not throwing big money into their game," says Lesoganatsoko.
"Great fighting spirit by our girls. We have great forwards in our line-up. Lets improve dealing with set pieces then we can go to the semi-finals if not final.
"We must also improve our fitness and conditioning but I saw coach's approach this time was to defend first half and absorb the pressure. Second half was to attack knowing Italy will be tired. Well done coach," says user544867.
"To think that SAFA did not want to pay these women what they are due for, abantu abasimela kanje as a country, mxim! Siyabonga bo sisi for flying the S.A. Flag high. Job well done!!!" says uMthoko.
"The referee of Chile tried in vain to push Italy through shame, by not blowing the whistle even long after her own added time but dismally failed.
"It was long confirmed in the spiritual realm that Banyana Banyana will go through whether she liked it or not. Banyana bana ke Bafana, Bafana bana ke Banyana... Well done ladies," says User949915.
"You can say that member, the referee tried her part, but a solid Banyana Banyana held their nerves, we are proud of the girls," replies Onoxgofetamang.
"These girls continue to make us proud. Unlike your brothers, you girls deserve every cent you were fighting for. Real fighters on and off the field. Love you girls, very proud of you," says Minwana Phezulu.
"I never doubted the African champions would progress to the last 16. Well done ladies," says Rio Da Khosi.
"Well done to the girls. Not a good 1st half but they came back better," says Legend CRM083.

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of Bafana Bafana winger Kgaogelo Sekgota, ending a two-year spell at the Glamour Boys.
The 26-year-old made 29 appearances for Chiefs last season, contributing with two assists, but drastically fell out of favour with Arthur Zwane and failed to earn a start in the second-half of the campaign.
The speedy winger failed to find the back of the net during his time at the Soweto giants and is understood to be on the verge of joining Stellenbosch FC.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "BREAKING | Chiefs confirm attacker's exit" story:
"Ngcobo was an awesome defender at Swallows, jiki-jiki, he joins Chiefs and becomes a cow, same with this diver, I'm scared for Msimango," says Zam d king buccaneer.
"Ngcobo, Billiat, Castro, Ntshangase etc. They became average players after joining Chiefs," says His Majesty Yellow PSL Beast.
"Good decision, just add Saile, Mashiane, Kwinika, Mahlatsi and Hlanti to the list please!!" says User827808.
"Mr penalty himself. They taught him how to dive and now they discard him," says Saavedra.
"Me, being honest here, I like the player and my worry is that I don't recall seeing any player released by KC at any age being successful, I mean really get going elsewhere, bad muti being used or what?" says Thabani.dk15
"Who's gonna be the diver now?" asks Mashifanae.
"Maybe something happened in the training field that only Zwane and now Ntseki know because I still don't understand why he was a starter at first. Each time he was brought in as a impact player, he made the difference," says DigitalP.
"They should have signed Human because they knew that they were going to release Sekgota... mxm," says Mokaubere.
"My leader, I'm also not happy at the departure of Sekgota. As a winger he had a zero goal return which could have been his undoing but he is an industrious pacey player which is an attribute of the modern game.
"There was room for improvement considering his age. In regards to Human, it was highly unlikely as I had stated when he was linked with Chiefs that he'd sign because Maritzburg doesn't do business with Chiefs," says gsithole.
