Collins Makgaka opened up for the first time on why things didn't work out for him at Orlando Pirates.
The 27-year-old joined the Buccaneers from Baroka FC in 2020 but saw his game time limited in a stacked midfield, resulting in Makgaka asking to be released from his contract.
Makgaka says he doesn't regret leaving the club, pointing out that his style of play didn't align with Jose Riveiro's ideas.
The free agent is currently searching for a new club after an unsuccessful assessment at Stellenbosch FC.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Makgaka: 'I don't regret leaving Pirates'" story:
"Pirates does not regret letting you go either. Pirates chose you but you failed," says lessporalibitso.
"How do u know if he was not given a chance," replies Clever boys.
"It's not like you offered something," says Asa De Gen.
"He's better than Dlamini. They didn't give him enough time to prove himself," says rinonoherry.
"You're unlike the wise Nange who blamed himself and now has a team, keep blaming everyone but yourself then you will end up clubless... All the players that listened to the coach are double champs and are going to the African safari," says Zam d king buccaneer.
"Hard luck boy, it was always going to be hard for you where pace is concerned. OPFC plays at 120km/h," says kubutane8.

Mamelodi Sundowns announced the signing of Bafana Bafana midfielder Bathusi Aubaas from TS Galaxy and becomes the club's fifth signing of the transfer window.
The 28-year-old says he's drawn by the Downs' winning mentality and aims to win many titles under Rulani Mokwena. Pirates were believed to be the front-runners in signing Aubaas before Masandawana swooped in.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Sundowns sign Bafana star!" story:
"As a defensive midfielder he will be Mokoena's cover since Mvala has been converted. Pirates is too competitive in the middle of the park with Timm, Makhaula, Monare and Motshwari, therefore he made a wise move," says sibo.mthembu.
"Sit down Buccaneers! Morena, Lakay, Mvala, Modiba, Mudau and many other players were playing attacking positions at their previous clubs. As they say, THE REST IS HISTORY. This is Sundowns not Bucs.
"Welcome Boy to the Home of Champions," says cash.
"Good signing for us. I hope he will grab this opportunity and grow as footballer. Now he is guaranteed a gold medal or two in his first season," says Minwana Phezulu.
"Aubaas is a defensive midfielder period, some clueless fans are saying he will take over from Mvala, how if Mvala is a centre back?" says Zam d king buccaneer.
"You're trying too hard to be a smart. Mvala is a defensive midfielder by trade, and he was recently converted into a centre back and a very poor one with plenty of mistakes may I add," replies PS_GOITSE.
"Welcome to the home of Champions. Soon you will be a medalist with Sundowns. Aubaas won't replace Mvala, rather, Aubaas will twin Mokoena as (6s), same formation Hugo Broos uses.
"Guardiola uses a Stones (a defender) and Rodri as double 6s. A very effective formation which is moving away from using two 10s in a formation," says makhause(2).
"I'm a Sundowns supporter but this one is a no, no! He's not making it at Sundowns," says bhekilekhuleni6.
"It's evident that Masandawana are looking to reinforce the position being played by Mvala, who seems to not appreciate the game time given to him.
"It might be that he didn't have a challenger in that position. Hence, the signing of Bathusi will help him to pick up his socks and eliminate most of the mistakes that costed Masandawana the Nedbank Cup and Champions League," says winterv.me.
"Why did he accept his career to be destroyed like that? He does not want to go overseas? Wow. He will serve a long sentence this one for sure!! Hopefully they pay him well," says khothakhosi.
"Congratulations to the football club. You are already a league champion," says Saavedra.
"How long is he jailed for? Poor Bathusi," says Mokaubere.
"Aubaas must be the perfect replacement of late Madisha, he reminds me of him. Rest in peace Dawana, we sorely miss your touch," says Zebra to hell.
"The likes of Riva need to leave, he's never going take field," says Lesoganatsoko.
