With the now-former Tunisia manager Jalel Kadri explaining why he quit his role after the 0-0 stalemate with Bafana Bafana on Wednesday night, KickOff readers did not shy away from sharing their honest thoughts.
What's the story?
Bafana Bafana secured a place in the last 16 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations while Tunisia finished the group stage in fourth place, crashing out of the competition.
The draw against South Africa ended up sparking Kadri's decision to resign from his post as the national team's head coach.
"My contract with the Tunisian Federation stipulates that if we do not reach the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations, the contract ends, and I decided not to continue after today's match," he said.
Here's what the KO readers had to say about his resignation:
"That is good leadership and others in the continent must follow his example and resign and this includes leaders of the federations in the continent must resign once and for all," says TEEGEE.
"The results of coaching with a TV license," says Bongani Mgubela.
"Themba Zwane, we've never had one like him before, no one currently. We don't know what the future holds. The best to ever exist in Mzansi," says Mamane Built-ins.
"He said they were going to collect 3points in the press conference," says Butho Qha accompanied by a laughing emoji.
"This one was afraid of Bafana Bafana when he heard that the squad is dominated by Sundowns players. Then he sends his boys to attack Khuliso Mudau," says Aaron Khosamavona Masuluke.
"I wish South African coaches can learn from these coaches if you failed the country you step down," says According To Zakes.
"Namibia's defeat made damage," says Pandu Hailombe.
"He was going be sacked anyway," claims Fila Mthembu Dlulane.
"Many managers will go after this tournament," says Sakara Jama.
"The Bafana Bafana curse continues to haunt Africa after the round of 16 another one will go home," says Collyn Mbiba KaDlamini.
"But you said you will go all out and beat us, but you forget that our team is consisting of well oiled performing players and even in the continental club showpiece. You undermined us, chief, forgetting that we have a good record when it comes to playing and winning against North African teams," says Tebogo Silinda.
"Serves him right! Next time teach your players how to play beautiful football, not to kick other players. Thuggish behaviour," says Mushin MJ Chukus.

Orlando Pirates, meanwhile, completed the signings of Thalente Mbatha and Thabiso Lebitso from SuperSport United and Chippa United and, as per usual, the KO faithful were not shy to voice their opinions on the Buccaneers' latest incomings.
Check out what they had to say:
"Pirates likes to sign players just for fun," says Shumane Joseph.
"Teams sign players and release others every season. Orlando Pirates can sign a player we don't know much about, and turn them into a star. Sometimes it doesn't work, but that's the nature of the game," Siyabonga Biyela.
"They are busy signing wrong players they should've went for Campbell and Van Vyk they have fresh legs," says Elvies Vusumuzi Makhubo.
"Thalente Mbatha will surprise all the critics, the boy is special. No one believed in Maswanganyi when we signed him," says Nhlanhla Ndawo II.
"Welcome to the ship boys," says Sello Fredericks Makgalefa.
"They just can't let the transfer window pass," says Lindokuhle Makhunga.
"We too busy watching sundowns play at afcon, relax you'll announce later," Percy Chavalala.
"Mbatha is a very good holding midfielder," says Brown Alicia.
"They have lost direction nowadays. They just sign for the sake of signing," claims Katleho Kumalo.
"Yhoo am dissapointed but ke let's wait and see," says Zenani Sbu.
"While at Chiefs they're still waiting for Gonzalez to hit the Post," says Leon Mathole.
"Welcome home boys, every season you will win the MTN8 and another cup," predicts Abel Ab-Flow.
