With CAF officially confirming the leadership of the new African Club Association and Kaizer Chiefs' Jessica Motaung being among them, this is what KickOff readers had to say about it!

What's the story?

Amakhosi's marketing and commercial director was elected to be a part of the leadership structure of the newly-formed African Club Association, being appointed to serve as one of two vice-presidents to Hersi Said, who was elected as president of the ACA.

While most KO followers congratulated Motaung on her new position, others believe that the continent can just not do without kaizer Chiefs.

Have a look at what readers had to say on Facebook:

"Her father, or the Board of Directors, should make her the Chief Executive Officer. She knows her beans," says Sipho Nkosi.

"They can't do without Kaizer Chiefs, CAF and FIFA has the highest respect for this team. If it wasn't for regulations etc Kaizer Chiefs would've been given a free pass to CCL every season. The whole continent is sad to see this mighty club struggling, Chiefs is the only club in South Africa that has a massive following everywhere in the world," says Goitsimodimo King Pholoholo.

"Congratulations to her. The south is slowly pulling control of CAF from the decade old grip of the north. And not only is there a breath of fresh air, there is progress and sponsors are coming on board," says Thabo Serunye.

"We can't talk Football in the continent without the Mighty Kaizer Chiefs," says Dovhani Godfrey Mposhomali.

"She must concentrate on the revival of Chiefs," says Hope Tsehlana.

"Mara her team is not going to win any African competition we don't fight her appointment if it was Supersport united or sundowns there was going too much noise mxm," Tshepo Vincent.

"Well deserved! She's also doing a splendid job as the marketing director of Chiefs. Kaizer Motaung Snr should make Jessica the managing director. Chiefs will definitely return to glory days," says Joseph Thabo Lekalakala.

"I saw it coming long time ago,all glory goes to our Almighty God and thanks to CAF, mainly Mr Patrice Motsepe to recognize the capability and passion from Jessica, as She is being tremendously doing well on managerial role at Kaizer Chiefs. You deserve it my Sister, congratulations," says Donald Lechuti.

"Thanx Patrice Motsepe but chiefs team won't taste AFL," says Alex Mbeje.

Meanwhile, with TS Galaxy's Bernard Parker returning to training as he recovers from a career-threatening injury after a successful surgery.

"Basically according to the doctors and also with the sports scientists' view is that it's up to myself how quick I can get back," Parker said at the club's media day ahead of their semi-final clash against AmaZulu in the Carling Knockout.

"They predicted that I will be back in February, maybe late March, but it will all depend on me, how seriously I am taking my recovery, which I am."

Check out what the KO users had to say about his return:

"Good news and good fitness coaches from Ts Galaxy rather than chiefs who failed our players," says Mokoena Buti II.

"A warrior!" exclaimed Jabulani Mkhaliphi.

"That's a good spirit...Even if he is not training hard like everyone but to be around an be part of the training it's 100% good," says Philan Lethabo.

"Eeee miracle happens the way i see his leg, I thought he will be back in 2025 or no more playing," says N'wana Ka Ximbeyi Mahlale.

"Too soon. He must relax and take it easy," says Zuks Matu.

"Can't wait to see you," says Maqhelefika Gcitima.

"Thank you Jesus l never thought this guy will play again," says Chibaya Desmond.

"Is too fast you must wait for next year bro just to be recovered surely," says Innocent Luks

"Perfect example of when God says yes the noise can't say no," says Reginald Rashid Ayer.

"But it's still early for him he still needs some months to recover before he gets back to training," says Abuti Thato.
