Free agent Mothiba cooking up something special?

Lebo Mothiba's latest activity would suggest that he is cooking up something special ahead of his upcoming departure from Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg.

The 28-year-old made 15 league appearances, 10 of which were him coming on as a substitute with the other five being starts, scoring three goals.

Mothiba's season had been disrupted in December last year when he picked up a Patellar tendon rupture which affects the player's knee.

The attacker, has already left RC Strasbourg but his next destination is yet to be determined.

Wherever he ends up, the centre-forward will be ready for the task that would lie ahead of him as he seems to be putting in the hard yards at the gym.

He took to his Instagram account to share footage of him riding the exercise bicycle, doing leg-based workouts with a resistant band, and doing drills to ensure he remains light, quick, and agile on his feet.

Football matters

While Mothiba has been linked with a move back to South Africa, the 28-year-old revealed, while speaking to Safa media via GOAL, expressed his desire to recover from injury and continue plying his trade in Europe.

"I will always have offers in Europe, I will always have clubs in Europe. For now, my focus is on my knee injury, healing and coming back fully fit," he said.

"Here in South Africa I don't know anything about [PSL interest], I haven't spoken to any team here in South Africa," the forward added.

"I don't know what's happening but my main focus is healing my knee, come back and continue playing in Europe."
