Manchester City find themselves in the off-field spotlight as well after a sensational collaboration with an iconic rockstar.
The Sky Blues, in collaboration with global sports company PUMA, have announced the release of a stunning kit that will be worn on select European nights during the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League campaign.

The kit titled Definitely City was co-designed by legendary musician and lifelong fan of the club Noel Gallagher.
It is also a celebration of Oasis' iconic album Definitely Maybe, with the kit drawing inspiration from the album cover which "defined a generation."
"The design features a bold aesthetic that echoes the iconic imagery of Definitely Maybe, paying tribute to the band and the city of Manchester," PUMA said in a statement.

Speaking about the role he played in designing the kit, Gallagher revealed that he jumped at the opportunity and expressed the love he has for the reigning English champions.
"I loved City before anything, I was into City before I was into music, I was into City before I knew what music was," the star said.
"Definitely Maybe is what set us on our way, the record lasting as long, you can't predict that kind of thing. It's a great working class, Mancunian record – it's real.
"When PUMA approached us at one of the games about designing a kit it took about five seconds to agree to it.
"It's the same colour palette as the cover of Definitely Maybe: it's unique but it's striking, and I think it looks great. When you see people representing your Club, it's important that they look good."
Gallagher went on to add that the album has always been special to him, and now its legacy will continue because of the way it has inspired this kit.
"Definitely Maybe has never lost its magic to me, I just think it's an amazing snapshot of what we were about," he said.
"With the anniversary, I've been listening to it a lot more than I would ever listen to it, it makes me smile – they were great times. It's spawned a great football kit, it's legacy lives on."
The Definitely City kit will debut on pitch on 18 September at the Etihad Stadium when Manchester City take on Inter Milan and will be worn in select European Away fixtures for the remainder of the 24/25 season.
The kit will also be available for purchase at PUMA retail stores, PUMA.com, Totalsports, Sportsmans Warehouse, Studio 88 and selected retailers from 15 October at a price of R1 399.
