Man Utd's Rashford faces obstacle in whopping R34m personal project

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is reportedly facing some issues as he tries to build a stunning R34 million project.

The Englishman wants to build his dream home on a golf course, but progress on the building side of things have slowed down with the house 'stuck in the rough', according to The Sun

The 26-year-old is said to have bought the house for a hefty fee of £1.5 million (around R34 million) around four years ago with plans, but locals in the area have suggested that there has barely been any activity in recent times.

The star is believed to have planned for the house to consist of five bedrooms, both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, and entertainment area as well as a plant room.

Now, however, fears that the house may now be a 'money pit' for the mega star have arisen.

A source, who spoke to the English news site, explained that Rashford still has a lot of work to do in order to get the house to where he dreams of it being.

"This was Marcus' dream project. He was really excited at the start," the source said.

"But while the build looks finished, there's an awful lot of work to be done internally.

"The gardens need to be completely landscaped and the estimated cost of looking after what used to be the golf course is at least £150 000 (around R3.4 million) a year.

"There's a fear that Marcus has bitten off more than he can chew."

Rashford has also endured some troubling times on the field of play amid the Red Devils' underwhelming start to the season, managing to provide just two goal contributions in eight Premier League appearances.

While his performances, at times, may have looked promising, the attacker will be hoping to improve on those numbers as the campaign progresses.
