The former Cape Town City striker recently scored his first league goal for Belouizdad during their 2-0 victory over ASO Chlef on Sunday.

Mayo's clinical strike, the team's second of the match, helped propel the Algerian giants up the table from 13th to eighth.

This came hot on the heels of another milestone: his first-ever goal for the club in a CAF Champions League encounter last week.

The 26-year-old, who endured a goalless start to his Algerian adventure, now has two goals in as many games – a streak he will hope to extend as he aims to cement his place in the team and usher in a period of success for Belouizdad.

Mayo's Instagram post following Sunday's match radiates positivity and hope. The images reflect his joyous emotions, hinting that the striker may finally be settling into life in Algeria.
