Men in Blazers: A look at the dapper kings of SA soccer

With footballers rarely spotted in formalwear unless there's a big occasion, here's a look closer look at some of snazzy looks by those involved in the sport. Here's a look!

The story

In football, suits are often reserved for big occasions like award ceremonies. However, players are tend to go a for a dapper look from time to time, which is often a complete contrast from their usual casual and streetwear drip.

There's a level of seriousness that a suit comes with. For starters, it's the type of outfit that commands attention and the boldness of the attire often leaves a lasting impression.

Gabadinho Mhango is set to release a song!

Mamelodi Sundowns chairman Tlhopie Motsepe and club ambassador Tiyani Mabunda almost stole the show with their sleek suits after Downs won the inaugural African Football League earlier this month.

The former midfielder was seen wearing a stylish double breasted suit featuring a rather uncommon grey-ish colour. Motsepe, meanwhile, rocked a turquoise blazer with a plain white top underneath. With simplicity being a form of sophistication, the executive full embodies this notion. Given the club's success since he became chairman, Motsepe certainly encapsulates the energy of an accomplished leader.

Thabang Monare of Orlando Pirates is a regular feature when fashion is being discussed. The midfielder is known to appreciate looking snazzy, not just when there's a big occasion but more times than most footballers in the country. It also feels as though everything that could be said about the former Bucs playmaker when it comes to style has been mentioned before and yet he never ceases to amaze.

By virtue of Villa getting tailored-made suits, it goes to show that the forward has class.
