No love lost between Percy Tau and Pirates!

It appears that there's no love lost between Percy Tau and South African football lovers, as the Al Ahly star was treated to a warm reception at the Orlando Stadium this weekend. Here's a look!

The Story

The Bafana Bafana star travelled with his Al Ahly side when they faced off against Pirates in the CAF Champions League on Saturday.

Although he wasn't included in the starting XI by his coach Marcel Koller, Tau made a second-half cameo after being brought on just after the hour mark.

The 30-year-old was unable to influence the game, as the match ended 0-0, with his team securing a point before returning to Egypt.

Tau had a few threatening moments against the Buccaneers; however, in the end, there was no love lost between him and those at the Orlando Stadium.

After the whistle, the Witbank-born star was embraced by many Bucs players, including Paseka Mako, Relebohile Mofokeng, and Sipho Chaine.

Things didn't end there, as the former Mamelodi Sundowns player took a walk around the stadium to greet and acknowledge the home fans, who all seemed very pleased to meet him once again.

Al Ahly captured a video of this heartwarming interaction, with Tau also seen taking a few selfies with the fans.

Notably, it was Tau's sixth meeting against Pirates at senior club level, with the Bafana star having been victorious over the Soweto giants on three occasions, while the other fixtures ended in a draw and two defeats, as per Transfermarkt.
