Pule Mmodi's former agent Solomon Seobe has explained why he was surprised by the attacker's reported move to Kaizer Chiefs.

The 29-year-old is understood to have already started pre-season training with Amakhosi, as the move proving to be a U-turn from the Soweto giants after turning down the opportunity to sign him in January.

Seobe represented Mmodi up until the end of their contract this month and was shocked when the versatile baller called to inform him of his intention to sign for Chiefs, which disappointed the agent who would've liked to have been involved in the decision.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Agent 'surprised' by Bafana star's reported shock Chiefs move" story:

"Chiefs pulled out the mafia style," says Shikabala.

"For the fact that you had other offers is the reason you were sidelined because you would have ruined it for him. Maybe you were going to push him to sign for your favourite team," says Rio Da Khosi

"Pule played Pirates, Arrows and his agent... Shibobo, spy 2," says siyaz.

"My only challenge - do we believe in all what is written by these media houses? What if Pirates never went for Mmodi (any proof beside what is speculated by media)," says Wild.Dog.

"I sometimes asked myself whether it's a coincidence that these two teams always gets interested in the same player, more times than not," says tseliso24.

"There is no proof at all. It's just journalists supporting Chiefs not wanting to write the reality that Chiefs only signed him because he is a free agent," says msanisto.
