Gilberto brings kasi flavour to roaring Angola fans!

Orlando Pirates star Gilberto Miguel left many fans making just the right noises after showcasing his kasi flavour for Angola. Here's a look!

The story

In July 2024, Pirates reportedly splashed a whopping €561 000 (R10.7 million) to acquire Gilberto's services from Petro de Luanda.

The 23-year-old star arrived with huge expectations from the Bucs supporters and is still finding his feet at his new club, as he has made just two starts from his five appearances in all competitions so far.

Despite still integrating to life in Soweto, the vibrant winger was called up to the Angola squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers this month, and his compatriot and Kaizer Chiefs star Inacio Miguel was notably left out.

Wearing the no.7 shirt, Gilberto was brought on as a sub during Angola's 2-0 win over Niger on Friday and it did not take the player long before he started entertaining the crowd at the Estadio 11 de Novembro in Luanda.

Naturally a skilled player, Gilberto appears to have learned some of the famous showboating tricks in South Africa like the Rakatha.

Having replaced Gelson Dala in the 87th minute of the game, Gilberto sent the crowd into a frenzy with his kasi flavour tricks.

Admittedly, it is not a suprise given the list of skillfull players at Pirates like Patrick Maswanganyi and Relebohile Mofokeng.
