With Tashreeq Matthews recently being snatched up by Mamelodi Sundowns, people will wonder just how well he will fit in. His fits, meanwhile, are usually up to scratch.
The current crop of starlets world football has produced rarely let spectators down when it comes to their off-field ability to put together some fantastic drip. People have been so taken aback by what they wear that some social media accounts were created specifically for sharing the outfits they choose to don. It also adds something extra to match build ups.
When players are travelling for an away fixture and get off the team bus, they immediately capture attention with what they wear, giving fans an extra element of the sport to enjoy and Hendricks seems to also be a contributor to this phenomenon.

Harper's Bazaar once compiled a list of the 87 greatest fashion quotes of all time but one in particular stood out when placed side by side with the rest, a saying by American businesswoman Iris Apfel. It reads: "What's my style is not your style, and I don't see how you can define it. It's something that expresses who you are in your own way."
This very quote can be applied to football and the variety of personalities we have become familiar with over the years. They have created a strong bond with fans based on their performances on the field, with different players becoming various fans' favourites depending on their personality.
For example, people around the world who enjoy the odd bust-up and aggressive tackles will relate to players such as Former Manchester United star Roy Keane, or South Africa's Aaaron Mokoena who had been nicknamed 'Mbazo' [the Axe] for his ability to crunch into tackles. On the other side of the coin, others will be in awe of players who are just so skilful with the ball at their feet like Ronaldinho, Cristiano Ronaldo and others who let their personality shine while being in possession of the ball.
Matthews could be viewed in the same light if he lets his personality shine through on the football field the way it does through the drip he dons. Who knows what young, aspiring footballers are looking up to Matthews, trying their best to emulate him in every single aspect.
If aspiring footballers are also looking to emulate the way he dresses, the world will become a more fashionable place. When one looks at Matthews, it can be seen how he has become influenced by a more urban sense of fashion. He seems to often opt fot American-inspired outfits that you would generally associate with hip-hop. Most of his fits include a branded t-shirt with a jeans, shorts or sweatpants. He then completes the outfit either with a cap, a chain, or a watch. One thing, however, is certain: He will always be wearing a remarkable pair of sneakers.
His fearless approach to fashion truly becomes evident when it is time for him to attend a formal event. On one such occasion, he definitely looked dressed up enough for it, but still maintained that urban flavour he usually sprinkles on onlookers. He wore a black suit over a black turtleneck, but mixed it up with a pair of sneakers that had different colour shoelaces and a chain to top it off.
