Speaking to SABC News about football development and alternate paths to success, the former Bafana Bafana defender highlighted the importance of bringing financial education into the lives of footballers.
"I think a 19-year-old or 16-year-old gets x amount; two years down the line doesn't know how to deal with that. I think that's where the other financial institutions come along and say, 'listen we will partner up with you guys, doing financial training for your kids, how to plan your life beyond the game also'."
He added that by putting those structures in to place, it will "definitely benefit all parties involved".
