While the result ensured that the Citizens book their place in the final against Fluminense, Guardiola's timepiece is also one of the highlights that can be taken from the encounter.

According to the watchmaker's official website, this watch was created with the intention of beating the world record for the lightest mechanical watch once and for all, labelling the item as an "exceptional creation".
"The record was smashed in 2013 with this watch weighing exactly 18.83 grams, including the strap, which is the heaviest part. This was a huge challenge," the company said on its site.
The watch, which was inspired by suspended civil engineering infrastructures, would cost an interested party $750 000 (R22 million) at market price, while it retails at around $1.5 million (R27 million), according to Insane Luxury Life.
Guardiola, meanwhile, being as stylish as he is tactical, wore the watch with vigour as he observed his team emerge victorious from the encounter.
