Premier League legend Ian Wright has revealed that watching the Soweto Derby between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates is high on his to-do list although he has watched one before. Here's a look!
The story
Affectionately known as "Wrightey", the Arsenal icon is one of the most universally loved former footballers turned pundits.
The former striker is respected across the globe, and that respect is mutual when it comes to South Africa, a country Wright is quite familiar with.

While Wright has recently expressed admiration for Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, he is also aware of Mzansi's most iconic football event, the Soweto Derby.
A clash between Chiefs and Pirates creates a huge divide in the country and understandably remains the most eagerly anticipated fixture in the South African football calendar.
Wrighty seems to know a thing or two about the importance of this particular match.
In a video circulating online, the ex-Gunners talisman is asked by former Manchester United player Gary Neville which sporting event in the world he would most like to attend.
Wright mentions watching Boca Juniors and River Plate in Argentina before excitedly stating: "You know what I'd want to see...but I've already seen...is Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates in South Africa.
"It's unbelievable!"
In 2023, Wright also admitted that he had been converted into a Bucs supporter by former club captain Happy Jele.
"I am a Buccaneer! I remember when I was with Happy Jele, Happy man, he's the one who made me say, 'I am supporting you, Happy'," said Wright on SuperSport TV.
"I saw the game [Nedbank Cup Soweto Derby], I saw the highlights of the game, it was a great game. For me, I am a Pirates fan, I am with Pirates forever."
