SCENES: Ronaldo fans in Iran swarm the streets and his hotel!

Iranian Cristiano Ronaldo fans seemed to be crazed by the superstar as they swarmed the streets to celebrate him and surrounded Al Nassr's hotel!

Ahead of his side's AFC Champions League clash against Persepolis, the Portugal international received an overwhelmingly warm welcome from his fans.

From crowding the streets to trying to get in to an elevator with him and having to beg them to stop making a noise so that he can get some sleep, the Iranians went wild for their icon!

Videos of the various instances capturing the absurdity went viral on social media, it also showed Ronaldo smiling at the reception he had been presented with.

The streets were swarmed with fans passionately chanting his name. 

 

The fans also tried to get as close as they possibly could to the star, even attempting to follow him as he entered an elevator! 

The celebrations were wild! Songs were sung as the drums were being pounded and car horns ran wild with rhythm. In fact, it was so lively for so long that Ronaldo had to signal them to stop the celebrations because he wanted to get some beauty sleep. 

Amid all the chaos, Ronaldo was able to gift a young boy a memory he will cherish for the rest of his life. 

The boy wanted to meet the five-time Ballon d'Or winner but was reportedly denied the opportunity to do so by security.

But despite this barrier, the boy had finally gotten his wish and was taken to Ronaldo's room where he was given a signed Al Nassr jersey. 

He also took the opportunity to perform the iconic 'siu' in front of his idol!
