'We just want him to get that hunger back'

With Percy Tau facing more time on the side-lines after being on the bench for Bafana Bafana's clash against Zimbabwe, fans have had their say!

What's the story?

The Al Ahly forward was as unused substitute as South Africa beat the Warriors by 3-1 courtesy of an equaliser by Iqraam Rayners and a double by Thapelo Morena.

It was then confirmed by the Egyptian giants that Tau will be out for a period of time after the medical report that the club "received from South Africa indicates that Tau has suffered a second-degree hamstring strain."

Check out what readers had to say:

"Bafana Bafana is playing very well without him. He must spend the whole of his career on the sidelines," says Mpendulo Wethu Sonke.

"We need to support and protect our player all times," says Ulilitha Mbombo.

"He, Maswanganyi and Pitso must be side-lined away from the National team," says Mothupi Mothupi Mothupi.

"The damage is already done we lost a place in the Final of AFCON because of him. We drew with Nigeria in the WC qualifying. The favouritism will be the end of Bafana," says Tshiamo Masokoane.

"They just need to change he's attacking role on the field. Not such a bad player," says Tando Faku.

"They played well without him, that must be a lesson to you Percy," says Mpho Mishack.

"He must come back to play in South Africa to maintain his position in Bafana Bafana. There is no football in Egypt; that's why Egypt's best players play in Europe," says Raymond Motagane.

"He should be rested and hungry players should be given a chance. Bring him on in the 75-85th minute to boost his confidence a bit. he's a key player he just need a goal to cancel all the bad omen," says Tebza Throne Leader Matsebe.

"They must give that no 10 jersey to Mshishi. Tau he is longer serious," says Lucky Mmakubyana.

"We don't hate him we just want him to get that hunger back," says Motho Motho.

Meanwhile, Steve Komphela has reportedly emerged as one of the favourites to land the role of head coach at DStv Premiership side Sekhukhune United ahead of next season.

A KickOff source has revealed that the club could make an announcement regarding a new head coach as early as next week.

Here's what the fans had to say:

"I wish he stays at Golden Arrows if he needs peace of mind, the owner of Sekhukhune United is trigger happy," says Mosala Mosala.

"Golden arrows is probably the most stable option right now for Steve, but then again it's nice to be wanted," says Richard Motaung.

"But Seems did well last season, haaaaiiii, I'm confused," says Malefane Salela.

"He will take them to number 14," says Kabelo Duncan Serati.

"He is good, he must just shave," says Z Dila Mvangwana.

"This one is a well-travelled coach," says Jabu Dube.

"Steve Khomphela Must Go To National Team," says Tshilidzi Thabela.

"Seema has done his part, as long as they pay him, no stress. I am tired of officials who take coaches for granted and make them slaves. Well done Seema, fight for your rights," says Staff Room.

"They should be prepared to wipe the tears of the onion they chopping. They really have made a habit of chopping and changing Coaches. Why fix it if its not broken. Continue with Seema. Smoke a peace pipe and get on with it," says Kamoho Ramontsoe.
